What is Playball?

Playball is a movement and sport skills program specifically designed for preschoolers.  Playball is an in-school activity where physical skills and sport fundamentals are taught and nurtured.  It is through the medium of sports, and the developmentally progressive way in which Playball is taught, that children build competence in life skills such as:  confidence, independence, perseverance, respect for others and many other basic functional skills.  Playball students learn the foundation skills for all major sports, while simultaneously developing the basic tools necessary to successfully integrate into elementary school and life beyond.  Playball teaches holistically, whereby children are taught social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills every week, in every lesson.

Playball is unique because:

  • Our program is continually updated by experts in the fields of occupational therapy, early education and  childrens' sports and fitness.

  • Our classes are age appropriate and progressive. Children move from informal introduction of basic ball and  movement skills to more structured sports participation.

  • Each Playball class is different from the next, so children are never bored.

  • Classes are sized to easily monitor development and progression.

  • Playball is non-competitive, so no child feels pressure.

  • Classes are quick paced to keep children active from start to finish.
